Terms of Service

In short: Cubie is free to use. Models you create are yours — print them, gift them, share them. To sell physical printed items made from your models, you need the one‑time Commercial license. You may not resell the digital model files (STL/3MF) themselves, and Cubie's own Templates & Starters have extra rules. Full detail below.

1. Agreement

By using Cubie (cubie.one), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Cubie is operated by Yuriy Bruskov, an independent developer. Contact: yazeban@gmail.com.

2. What Cubie Is

Cubie is a free web‑based tool for creating 3D‑printable articulated models.

There are two optional one‑time upgrades (no subscription):

  • Premium — unlocks unlimited exports and unlimited cloud projects.
  • Commercial license — includes everything in Premium, plus the right to sell physical printed items made from your models (see §5).

Projects are stored locally in your browser and, when you are signed in, synced to your cloud workspace. The service is provided "as is", without guarantees of availability or uptime.

3. Accounts

  • You may sign in using Google, Yandex, Telegram, or an email link.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
  • You must provide accurate information and not impersonate others.
  • We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Purchases and Refunds

Premium and the Commercial license are each a one‑time lifetime purchase. Payments are processed by third‑party providers shown at checkout (currently lava.top) under their own terms.

  • Refunds — request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing yazeban@gmail.com. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion.
  • Chargebacks — if you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us first, your paid access may be revoked.

5. Your Models and What You Can Do With Them

5.1 Your original models

Original 3D models you create from scratch in Cubie belong to you. For free, you may print them, give them as gifts, and share them for personal, non‑commercial use.

Selling needs the Commercial license. Personal use and gifts are free. To sell physical printed items made from your Cubie models — at fairs, on Etsy or MakerWorld, or as custom orders — you need the one‑time Commercial license.

5.2 Selling printed items (Commercial license)

With an active Commercial license you may sell physical, 3D‑printed objects produced from models you created in Cubie — offline and on marketplaces — for the lifetime of the license.

Print, don't resell the files. You may sell the printed physical items. You may not sell, share, or otherwise redistribute the underlying digital files (STL, 3MF, or similar) of your models as standalone files — the license covers printed goods, not file distribution.

5.3 Cubie's content (software, brand, Templates & Starters)

The Cubie software, brand, and website design, as well as the Templates and Gallery Starters provided by Cubie, are the property of Yuriy Bruskov and are protected by copyright. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the Cubie software without permission.

You receive a limited, non‑exclusive license to use Cubie's Templates and Starters for personal printing, gifts, and remixes whose geometry is substantially transformed.

Without written permission, you may not: sell or distribute the STL/3MF files of Cubie Templates & Starters (in original or minimally modified form); sell printed items based on them at commercial scale; re‑upload them to other platforms (Printables, MakerWorld, Thingiverse, Cults3D, etc.); or bundle them into commercial products or collections.

Minor changes (recoloring, scaling, fixing geometry, cosmetic edits) do not create a new original work and do not lift these restrictions. For commercial use of Templates or Starters, contact yazeban@gmail.com.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems;
  • interfere with or disrupt the service;
  • reverse‑engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Yuriy Bruskov shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, business interruption, or damages arising from failed or defective 3D prints, regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims related to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 100.

Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or harm to life or health. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non‑infringement, accuracy, reliability, or uninterrupted, error‑free operation.

We do not guarantee that models created with Cubie will print successfully on any specific printer, material, or settings, nor that printed objects will be fit for any particular use. You are solely responsible for verifying print suitability and for the physical outcomes of anything you print.

You are responsible for keeping your own backups of your designs. We do not guarantee data retention, recovery, or continuous availability of stored projects.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, excluding its conflict‑of‑laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Czech Republic.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer‑protection provisions of your country of residence, and you retain the right to bring proceedings before its courts in accordance with applicable EU consumer regulations. Nothing in this section limits your statutory consumer rights.
